Oh great boats.....
Did you build these?
Where do you sail them?
When I was a child, my father built sail boats and we would cast them a sail in the ponds of Forest Park, St. Louis

Hope your day today is beautiful

Robin - I'm very familiar with Forest Park. If you're still in the St. Louis area, you might be able to guess the real name of "Pleasantville" as it's not too far across the river.

I didn't build the boats, there were several men racing their boats on the Pleasantville lake. Me and my girls had a giddy time watching and cheering them on.

Yeah, I'm one of those not so wordless participants. I haven't been able to master the not talking/writing thing.

Nice shot.

Wonderful shot... Can't wait to see what the other two shots are.. I'm guessing different colors.. Are they yours? Or was there a race type thing at a park?

Love the boat! Does it work by RC or just SP?

Thanks for the visit and comment over at my place :)

Just to clear up, I did not make the boats. My girls and I observed what I call "NASCAR on Water" There were six or seven men racing their boats around some balloon-like buoys.

From what I could tell, they used remote controls to move the sails, there weren't any other propulsion methods. It's quite windy here in Pleasantville, making it ideal for these little sailboats.

The red sailboat won two races, the blue sailboat won none.

Yes, they are toys, but there are quite large - I'd say three to four feet tall.
