Wagon Wheel

Ruby Tuesday is hosted by Mary at Work of the Poet. Visit all the other ruby hunters here.

This wooden wagon wheel is all that remains of an icon of the American Old West - the covered wagon.

Simply beautiful. Love that scene and colors - the red really contrasts well with the vibrant green.

OK - I have a confession.

There was absolutely no intent to mis-lead, but this picture is not from the country.

It's along main street in the historic district near where I live. Most of the buildings are 100+ years old and have been turned into shops.

This old barn is tucked back from the street. It just so happens there is a parking lot to the right and a tobacco shop to the left. Across the street is the fence seen in my "No Fear" photo.

I have the unique pleasure of living so close to this busy tourist area that is rich with history and has these magical pockets of beauty.
